What
Exactly Happened On The Way to the Alamo?
IES
2007
A funny thing did happen on the way to the Alamo this year during
IES 2007. Once again, Sweet Adelines from around the world converged
on San Antonio, Texas, and took the campus of Trinity University
by storm — or should we say, by thunderous and vociferous
sound? More than 1,500 attendees laughed, sang and amused themselves
throughout the week. And the funny thing is … everything went
off without a hitch, but rather, with a pitch. Ba dum tish!
Throughout the week attendees learned amazing vocal tips, developed
new skills, made friends and were witness to some of the best performances
ever.
Yet again, Sweet Adelines International has proven its global presence.
The winners of the Harmony Classic competition came all the way
from New Zealand and Sweden. And the bass from the Rising Star Champion
Quartet originally hails from the United Kingdom. Sweet Adelines
International is truly harmonizing the world!
You won’t want to miss IES 2008 where attendees from around
the world will be “Kickin’ It Up A Notch” during
the final annual International Education Symposium. More than 100
new classes will be offered and vocal expert Dr. Jim Henry will
dazzle registrants with his experience and world-class instruction.
