Beginning January 23, 2007, ALL persons, including U.S. citizens,
traveling by air between the United States and Canada, Mexico, Central

Tourism Council brought to our attention that a DUI conviction
in the United States is considered a felony in Canada, which can
be an issue in border crossing. Anyone with a US DUI conviction
needs to obtain a minister's permit to enter Canada. The best
way to find information on this process is to go to the Detroit
Consulate General's web site at http://geo.international.gc.ca/can-am/detroit/menu-en.asp,
or call them at 313-567-2340.
